With great responsibility comes great power

You know that famous quote from Spiderman: “With great power comes great responsibility.”?

I believe it’s quite the opposite: With great responsibility comes great power.

The more you take responsibility for your life and the world around you, the more empowered you become.

Power is the ability to determine your life.

You lose power when you don’t think you have the ability to do that.

You lose power when you make excuses for why you can’t.

You lose power when you blame others for why you can’t.

You lose power when you believe you’re a helpless victim.

Sure, power can be taken from you. And sometimes there’s nothing you can do about that.

But to then believe you are powerless is to hand over the rest.

Stop giving away your power.

You give away power when you let others determine your life.

You give away power when the judgements of others decide what you do.

You give away power when you passively wait until choices are made for you.

You give away power when you let life happen to you.

You are not as helpless as you think.

You have the power to change your life completely. If only you would take complete responsibility for it.

Taking complete responsibility for your life doesn’t undo the oppression you face, or the trauma you endured. It doesn’t make injustices OK or suffering disappear.

It simply means that you take ownership of who you are and where you are in life no matter what. It’s no one’s fault. No one owes you anything. And no one will save you.

You’re in charge now.

Becoming empowered doesn’t change a thing about the outside world.

But you will feel a revolution happen inside of you.

Suddenly when your false barriers come down, you will see the REAL barriers more clearly.

When your limiting beliefs dissolve, you will see your ACTUAL abilities more accurately.

When you drop your facades, you will see the TRUE makeup of your relationships.

And the best way to navigate your life is with a map of REALITY.

With great responsibility comes great power.

It’s time for you to power up.
